How to register?

1. Register through the HDFC Bank website.

2. Register while shopping online.

Credit Card Registration through HDFC Bank website:

1. Visit www.hdfcbank.com, select ProtectBuy Registration

2. Click on "Register Now"

3. Click on "I Accept"

4. Enter your Credit Card number & the Credit Card Expiry Date

5. Enter ATM PIN or CVV2/DOB along with mobile no. & email id. Mobile no. & Email id should match with your details in our Credit Card records.

6. After the validation, OTP (One time password) will be sent to your registered mobile number & email id.

7. Enter the OTP in the space provided to enter OTP on the website.

8. On submission of above details and subsequent validation, the last page of registration appears.

9. Please enter your name, Shared secret, Login id to choose the desired password. The password you create here can be used for performing secure online transactions on participating websites.

10. Submission of these details will complete the registration process

Credit Card Registration while shopping online:

1. Select the goods and services you want from the Merchant store participating on ProtectBuy and proceed to the payment page.

2. Enter your HDFC Bank Diners Credit Card number and the online store will connect with HDFC Bank to check whether your card is secured with ProtectBuy.

3. HDFC Bank initiates a ProtectBuy pop up window on your computer screen.

4. Enter the Credit Card no. & the Credit Card Expiry date

5. Enter ATM PIN or CVV2/DOB along with mobile no. & email id. Mobile no. & email id have to match with your details in Credit Card records

6. After the validation, OTP (One time password) will be sent to your registered mobile & email id.

7. Enter these details on the OTP page on the website.

8. On submission of above details and subsequent validation, the last page of registration appears.

9. Your password has to be created here, which can be used for performing secure online transactions on participating websites.

Important Note:

1. If you have shared 2 email ids with us, any one of them can be entered for validation

2. If your email id/ mobile no is not updated with us, please update your details in our system by calling our Customer Care Center & try to register later. It is mandatory to register atleast 1 email id & mobile no with the Bank. In addition, if you have recently changed your mobile number or email id update the same with Bank.
