ProtectBuy is a service from Diners that lets you shop online in a secure manner with your HDFC Bank Diners Credit card. ProtectBuy provides an extra layer of security by giving card members an additional password to use when they shop online. This helps in prevention of frauds and allows customers to worry less when it comes to Internet purchases.

Register for ProtectBuy to avoid decline of internet transactions using your HDFC Bank Diners Credit Card.

Select the goods and services you want from the merchant site and proceed to the payment page.

Enter your HDFC Bank Diners Card number and the online store will connect with HDFC Bank to check whether ProtectBuy is enabled for your card or not.

HDFC Bank displays a ProtectBuy pop up window on your computer screen. The window would also include your personal message.

Look for your personal message and after confirmation enter your password. HDFC Bank will then confirm your identity to the merchant.

1. If you have shared 2 email ids with us, any one of them can be entered for validation

2. If your email id/ mobile no is not updated with us, please update your details in our system by calling our Customer Care Center & try to register later. It is mandatory to register atleast 1 email id & mobile no with the Bank. In addition, if you have recently changed your mobile number or email id update the same with Bank.

3. OTP will get delivered to your registered mobile number and email id in less than a minute. Please ensure that you also check your Spam, Junk and all other folders for the OTP mailer from HDFC Bank.

4. OTP is valid for 2 hours. If you do not use it within 2 hours of generation of OTP, it expires. If the OTP generated through earlier request has expired, you will have to attempt the registration again to generate the new OTP.
